• Document data: uploaded PDF files, file metadata, extracted text chunks, vector embeddings.
• Conversation data: questions, generated answers, document-scoped history.
• Usage data: upload and query usage logs, analytics counters.
• Billing data: plan, transaction metadata, coupon usage, payment references.
• Support data: messages sent to support channels.

3. Why We Process Data

• To authenticate users and secure accounts.
• To ingest, index, retrieve, rerank, and answer questions on your documents.
• To enforce plan limits and manage billing.
• To maintain product reliability, monitor abuse, and improve performance.
• To provide user support and legal compliance.

4. How Data Is Shared

We use specialized infrastructure and AI subprocessors. We do not sell your personal data. We share data only as needed to provide the Service.

5. AI Data Handling Clarification

We do not send your original PDF file as a public upload to AI services. However, extracted text from your documents may be processed by AI providers to generate embeddings, rerank relevant context, and answer your question.

6. Retention

• Documents and indexes are generally kept until you delete them or request account closure.
• Billing and compliance records may be retained for legal and accounting obligations.
• Operational logs are retained for security, analytics, and fraud prevention as reasonably required.

7. Security

We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including access controls and provider-level security protections. No system is perfectly secure.

8. Your Controls and Rights

• You can update profile details and remove profile photos in-app.
• You can delete documents in-app.
• For account deletion/export requests, contact support via email.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for children under applicable legal age thresholds.

10. International Processing

Data may be processed in regions where our subprocessors operate. By using the Service, you consent to these transfers where permitted by law.

11. Policy Updates

We may update this Policy periodically. Material updates will be reflected in the "Last updated" date.
