Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of DocMind AI (the "Service"). By creating an account, uploading content, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Operator

DocMind AI is operated by Aditya Gupta ("we", "us", "our"). Contact: adityagupta20042003@gmail.com.

2. Eligibility and Account

You must provide accurate account information and keep credentials secure.
You are responsible for activity performed using your account.
You must verify your email to fully access account features.

3. Service Description

DocMind AI lets you upload documents, index them for retrieval, and ask questions against those documents. The Service uses a combination of storage, vector indexing, retrieval, reranking, and LLM generation.

4. Your Content and Permissions

You retain ownership of your uploaded documents and prompts.
You grant us a limited permission to host, process, transform, index, and transmit necessary data to provide the Service (for example: storage, embeddings, reranking, and AI answer generation).
You represent that you have the rights needed to upload and process the content.

5. AI and Processing Disclosure

Important: We do not publicly share your documents, but parts of your document text may be processed by third-party AI providers to power features. This can include extracted text chunks and your question. See the AI Transparency Notice.

6. Acceptable Use

Do not upload content that you have no right to process.
Do not use the Service for unlawful, abusive, or harmful activity.
Do not attempt to bypass quotas, limits, or security controls.
Do not probe, scrape, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service.

7. Plans, Billing, and Refunds

Paid plans and limits are described in-app and may change over time.
Payments are processed by Razorpay and subject to Razorpay terms.
Applicable taxes (including GST where required) may be added.
Credits and usage rules are governed by your active plan.

8. Data Deletion and Account Closure

You can delete individual documents in-app.
Document deletion is designed to remove associated storage objects, Pinecone namespace vectors, extracted chunks, and document-scoped conversation history.
For full account deletion requests, contact support by email.

9. Service Availability

We aim for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Features may change, be paused, or be removed in beta/early stages.

10. Disclaimer

The Service may generate incorrect or incomplete outputs. AI responses are provided "as is" and should be independently reviewed. The Service does not provide legal, tax, or professional advice.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption.

12. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for abuse, legal risk, non-payment, or violations of these Terms.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Jurisdiction and venue should be updated to your preferred court location before production launch.
